Cruelty-Free Toothpaste. Natural Ingredients.

We believe in animal rights just as much as you do. We’re angered by the treatment of animals and their living conditions when raised for product testing human consumption. That's why neither our ingredients nor our formulas for our natural toothpastes have been tested on animals.

For SprinJene, cruelty-free toothpaste is not a marketing term. The entire cruelty-free movement is part of who we are as an organization. We don’t believe innocent animals need to suffer in order to provide people with certified vegan, healthy toothpaste that is consistent with the values of the vast majority of religions and cultures.

If you want a natural toothpaste that doesn’t take advantage of animals, try Sprinjene’s cruelty-free toothpaste!

What Does “Cruelty-Free” Really Mean?

Every day, animals are subject to painful tests to determine whether a product is safe and effective. These tests could involve the consumption or inhalation of chemicals or direct contact with the eyes and skin. Animals involved in these horrible tests are often killed when testing is complete.

We believe this is inhumane and wrong, which is why we’ve committed to cruelty-free certification. Cruelty-free means no animals were used for testing of a product or its ingredients or formulas at any time during the development or manufacturing process. That applies to the maker of the product and its suppliers.

Sadly, no federal government agency has provided an “official” definition of cruelty free or established standards for the use of the term. As a result, individual companies must define what cruelty-free means to them. Perhaps more importantly, consumers who are looking for products that have not been tested on animals must also research the claims made by these companies.

How Do I Know if Toothpaste Is Cruelty-Free?

Created by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC), the Leaping Bunny Program is the gold standard in cruelty-free certification. Many would argue that the Leaping Bunny Program is even more comprehensive than the PETA certification program. For example, Leaping Bunny requires companies to allow independent audits of their supplier relationships.

Unfortunately, many companies have designed their own logos with bunnies to convince shoppers that their products are cruelty-free or animal friendly, even though these companies haven’t been formally certified. In many cases, the claims involving animals are ambiguous at best. Also, companies sometimes change their policies and cruelty-free designation to sell in China, where testing on animals is required by law.

SprinJene natural toothpastes are indeed certified cruelty-free through the CCIC, so make sure you look for the internationally recognized Leaping Bunny logo when shopping for cruelty-free toothpaste!

Did You Know...

  • Various products are tested on more than 100 million animals each year, according to PETA.
  • The use of human cells and tissues (in vitro), advanced computer modeling techniques, and human volunteers have emerged as alternatives to animal testing for drugs, consumer products, medical devices, toxicity and more. Some of these tests are faster, cheaper, and more reliable than animal testing. (Source)
